Abstract
The research analyses how the participation of HEIs’ academic and non-academic staff in Erasmus staff training mobilities affects their development of key competencies for lifelong learning. The European Framework of Key Competences for lifelong learning will be used for this purpose, with a particular focus on the different dimensions involved: skills, attitudes, and knowledge; and the possible differences in their development due to the nature of the international experience. The findings will be used to examine the IaH strategies and actions of the HEIs members of the SEA-EU European Alliance, and to suggest different approximations for improvement.
The objective of the investigation is to provide valuable insights into various unexplored domains, including the significance of non-academic personnel in the internalization of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the significance of skills that are not traditionally associated with international mobility, the significance of sometimes overlooked short-term training mobility, and the significance of mobility in the Internationalization at Home strategy.
